In short
  • LUMEN tech runs the platform at lumen-tech.app. One Lumen ID account and one balance in USDT on the TRC-20 network work across the whole ecosystem.
  • Lumen Marketplace sells digital goods from LUMEN tech only. Check every item right after it’s handed over — from that moment, the goods and their use are your responsibility.
  • Escrow deals are between users. We hold the funds and check deals, but we are not a party to the deal.
  • Blockchain transfers can’t be reversed — always check the network and the address.
  • You must be 18 or older. If something goes wrong, contact support first.

About these Terms

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and LUMEN tech (“we”, “us”) about using the LUMEN tech platform at lumen-tech.app (opens in a new tab): Lumen ID, the Lumen balance, Lumen Marketplace and the divisions that will open later. The project’s presentation site is lumen-service.com (opens in a new tab).

By creating an account or using the platform, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree with them, please don’t use the platform.

We may update the Terms as the platform grows. The version and the effective date are shown at the top. We announce significant changes on the platform before they take effect. If you keep using the platform after the new version takes effect, it applies to you. If you don’t agree with it, stop using the platform; you can also ask us to close your account.

Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the platform.
  • One person — one Lumen ID. You can sign up with your email and a password or with Google.
  • Give accurate details and use an email address you actually have access to: support relies on it to restore access.
  • Keep your password secret and don’t hand your account over to anyone. You are responsible for everything done through it.
  • If you think someone else has access, change your password, use “Sign out on other devices” in your account and contact support.
  • Support never asks for your password — not even to restore access.

What the platform offers

  • Lumen ID — one account and one balance for the whole ecosystem.
  • Lumen Marketplace — a store of digital goods. Only LUMEN tech sells in the store; there are no third-party sellers.
  • Escrow — protected deals between users, created by request and checked by moderators.
  • Lumen Finance and Lumen Learn are coming soon. When they open, these Terms will apply to them, together with any additional rules we publish.

Some features are still in preview — for example, balance top-ups, payment for orders and escrow requests. We mark such places on screen as “Soon” or “Preview”; the rules below apply to them once they open. We may change, add or remove features and will try to give advance notice of changes that affect you.

Balance and payments

  • The Lumen balance is held in USDT on the TRC-20 network only. Prices and amounts are shown in USDT.
  • Top-ups will be processed by a payment provider. Before you pay, the platform shows the network, the address or other payment details, and any limits.
  • You are responsible for sending the right token on the right network to the right address. USDT sent on another network (ERC-20, BEP-20 and others), another token, or a transfer to a wrong address may be lost, and we won’t be able to recover it.
  • Blockchain transfers are irreversible. Once a transfer is sent, neither LUMEN tech nor anyone else can cancel it.
  • Network and payment provider fees, if any, are paid by the sender unless the platform says otherwise.
  • Your balance is not a bank deposit or an investment product: it earns no interest, and we don’t provide banking or investment services.
  • If an amount is credited to your balance by mistake (for example, because of a technical error), we may correct it.
  • Withdrawals aren’t available yet: for now, the balance can be spent only on the platform. When withdrawals open, their conditions will be shown in your account.

Store purchases and delivery

  • Every product page shows the description, the price and the delivery method. The price is fixed when you place the order.
  • Orders are paid from your Lumen balance in full when you place them. If the balance falls short, the order isn’t placed and nothing is charged.
  • Automatic delivery: the data appears in your order right after payment.
  • Delivery by a manager: a manager hands the goods over in your order within the time shown on the product page — usually within 24 hours. Until then, you can cancel the order as the order page describes, and the money goes back to your balance.
  • The moment of handover. The goods count as handed over the moment the data appears in your order (automatic delivery) or the moment the manager marks the order as handed over (delivery by a manager).
  • Report problems in time. Check the goods as soon as they’re handed over and report any problem in the order or to support within the period shown in the order. If no period is shown, report the problem as soon as you find it and before you change any access details — after that, we can no longer check what was handed over.
  • If you confirm receipt in the order, the period for reporting problems ends.
  • Keep the data you receive somewhere safe. For accounts: first make sure everything works, then change the password and the recovery email.

After the goods are handed over

Once the goods are handed over to the buyer, LUMEN tech is not responsible for them.

From the moment of handover, you alone are responsible for:

  • how and for what purpose the goods are used;
  • any changes you make — password, email, settings, data;
  • loss of access, including a forgotten password or a lost device or codes;
  • blocking, restrictions and any other actions of third-party services;
  • password and email changes after handover — by you, by people you shared access with, or by the third-party service (but not by LUMEN tech);
  • sharing the goods or access to them with other people;
  • any other consequences of using the goods.

This doesn’t cancel the cases in the Refunds section: the goods weren’t handed over, or they didn’t match the description at the moment of handover and you reported it in time.

Refunds

We refund an order only in two cases:

  • the goods weren’t handed over — for example, a manager couldn’t deliver them;
  • the goods didn’t match the description at the moment of handover, you reported it in time (see Store purchases and delivery), and our check confirmed the problem.

Refunds are credited to your Lumen balance. If the same item is available, we may replace it instead of refunding. There’s no refund if you changed your mind, if the problem appeared after handover (see After the goods are handed over), or if it wasn’t reported in time.

Third-party services

  • Goods in the store may be accounts, keys or subscriptions of third-party services.
  • LUMEN tech is not affiliated with these services and is not their partner or representative. Their names are used only to describe the goods.
  • The services’ own terms apply to their accounts, keys and subscriptions, and following them is your responsibility.
  • Some services don’t allow accounts to be transferred. Using such goods may break their rules, and the service may restrict them at any time.
  • A third-party service may change its rules, or restrict or block an account, at any time. We have no control over this and aren’t responsible for it.

Escrow deals between users

  • Escrow is for deals between users. A deal starts with a request: one party describes the subject, the conditions and the amount and chooses who pays the fee; the other party joins by the invite link.
  • A moderator checks the request and approves or declines it. Don’t hand anything over until the buyer has funded the escrow.
  • We hold the funds and check deals, but we are not a party to the deal. We don’t sell or buy its subject and don’t guarantee its quality or legality. The parties are responsible for the deal being legal and for fulfilling it.
  • When the seller marks the handover, the buyer gets an inspection window (its length is shown in the deal) to check everything and either confirm receipt or open a dispute. If the buyer hasn’t opened the deal after the handover, the window may be extended.
  • If the inspection window ends and no dispute has been opened, the funds are paid out to the seller automatically.
  • While the funds are in escrow, either party can open a dispute: the seller until marking the handover, the buyer until the inspection window ends. A moderator can also put a deal on hold to review it.
  • Disputes are decided by Lumen moderators based on the deal terms, the chat and both parties’ evidence. A moderator releases the funds to the seller, returns them to the buyer, or splits them. The moderator’s decision is final within the platform.
  • The platform charges a fee only on the amount paid out to the seller; if the funds go back to the buyer, there is no fee. The rate and who pays it are shown before payment.
  • Keep the conversation and the handover inside the deal: moderators use the messages and files from the deal chat as evidence. Payments made outside escrow are not protected.

What’s not allowed

You may not use the platform to:

  • buy, sell or offer anything illegal, or goods and services that infringe other people’s rights;
  • deceive or defraud other users or us — including by pretending to be Lumen support or a moderator;
  • launder money or finance illegal activity;
  • take a deal out of escrow or pay outside it to avoid the fee or the rules;
  • create several accounts to get around limits or a block, or to abuse offers;
  • make false claims to get a refund or win a dispute, or abuse refunds in any other way;
  • harass, threaten or insult people, or send spam;
  • upload malware, phishing links or other harmful files;
  • break, overload or probe the platform, bypass its limits or access other people’s accounts.

Restricting and closing an account

  • If you break these Terms, or we have good reason to suspect fraud or other abuse, we may limit features, pause orders and deals, hold funds for as long as the check reasonably requires, or block the account.
  • Where we can, we’ll tell you the reason and how to resolve the issue through support.
  • You can stop using the platform at any time. To close your account, contact support. If it still has a balance or unfinished orders and deals, we’ll explain the options available at that moment.
  • Closing an account doesn’t cancel orders and deals that have already started.
  • After an account is closed, we keep some records — see the Privacy Policy.

Limitation of liability

  • The platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it stable, but we can’t promise that it will always be available or free of errors.
  • We are not liable for indirect losses, including lost profits, lost data and lost opportunities.
  • Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the specific order the claim concerns — or, for an escrow deal, to the platform fee for that deal.
  • This limit doesn’t apply to your Lumen balance or to funds held in escrow: we pay them out or return them under these Terms and the deal rules.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Circumstances beyond our control

We are not responsible for delays and failures caused by events we can’t reasonably control, including:

  • problems in blockchain networks: congestion, outages, forks, sudden fee spikes;
  • outages of the payment provider, hosting, network and protection providers, Google and other third-party services;
  • internet and power failures, attacks on the platform, natural disasters and actions of authorities.

In such cases, we restore normal operation as soon as reasonably possible.

Your content and our brand

  • Messages and files you send in a deal chat remain yours. You allow us to store them and show them to the other party and to moderators — to run the deal and resolve disputes.
  • Don’t upload anything you don’t have the right to share.
  • The LUMEN tech name, the Lum mascot, and the platform’s design and texts belong to LUMEN tech. Don’t copy them or present yourself as us.

Notices and contacts

We contact you on the platform: in your account, your orders and your deals. We don’t send emails yet; when we start, we’ll use the email of your Lumen ID.

Questions about the platform, your orders or deals — write to support:

Support never asks for your password.

Complaints and disagreements

  • If something goes wrong, contact support first and include the order or deal number. Most issues are resolved this way.
  • Disagreements inside an escrow deal are resolved through a dispute in the deal itself (see Escrow deals between users).
  • If a disagreement with LUMEN tech remains, we will try to settle it through negotiation with you before any other steps.
